We Might Fall Apart

There was a time when I was addled When I was rattled When I would fall apart Up and down your prayers When I would disagree With every blink and stare When I would wonder If anybody cared About: the diversion from the perversion or the incursion of the coercion and the inversion of the assertion Feeling uncertain of the conversion All things suburban, so much exertion to my aversion and the excursions just to determine real deep submersion we need immersion of some subversion or an insertion of some desertion And then we'd all fall apart with every blink and stare And then we'd all fall apart with every blink and stare There was a time when I was saddled When I was battled When I could live or die I didn't even care When my words and thoughts Were really quite impaired When everything good in life was really getting scarce Because of: the time lines and all the designs must I mistime all of the guidelines we used every skyline just to opine and tried to define for just for one time I needed to refine my soul for recline and then assign what was benign shift what was sublime to the divine release the confines for my lifetime throw me a lifeline before I decline And then we'd all fall apart with every blink and stare And then we'd all fall apart with every blink and stare And now it is now and I'm still hard to handle I tend to just babble And I might fall apart Up and down your prayers I might disagree But I fending off despair And I don't wonder If anybody cares Because: love's not a fashion and it's more than passion love might feel like a spasm, but it tends to fasten love won't be rationed, it'll just happen love's not a mansion, it is a bastion love's not a caption, it is impaction love's not ashen, love is adaption love's not contraption, love smells like jasmine love's not a faction, love's a companion love's not an assassin, love is compassion And we might fall apart with every blink and stare And then we can rise back up because we all can care

There was a tree and there was a man, and the man in the tree had a hell of a plan. He rose to the top and shook all the leaves, and all the leaves fell to the opening sea. And the opening sea, had a hell of a curse. This curse was in fact, The ultimate worst. The ultimate worst, that there ever could be, ‘til the man in the tree shook all of the leaves. The leaves hit the sea With a blip and a blap. Soft little sounds, like a cat in a nap. The leaves rode the seas, and the sea held the leaves. There was never a thought, to not just agree. The sea was the leaves, And the leaves were the sea. Both of them one, supplying their needs. And on and on, the story will go, ‘til the tree and the man, and the leaves of the tree, and the leaves on the sea, begin to forget, and then disagree.

Message Man 02:10
I sent a message to the message man The message said, you better have a plan The plan was dirty, dirty to the bone The bone was hidden, underneath my home I got a message from the message man The message said your right hand Pledge allegiance to everything I do But either way, you're gonna get screwed Let's talk about the widespread retread mislead cross-bred unread filled with dread on the ledge Mass hysteria. Mass hysteria. Mass hysteria. Message Man. Do you even have a plan? Message Man. Are you a member of the Klan? Message Man. We're gonna throw you in the van. Because We won't pledge Pledge allegiance To anything you do Because We won't pledge Pledge allegiance To anything you do Because We won't pledge Pledge allegiance To anything you do

I couldn’t stand the weather So, I got myself together with the ocean. So, now I’m swimming all the way I Think I’ll take myself to Spain I’ve got a notion There will be a jubilee You see I’ve got it here with me I’ve got the potion Before I fall apart I must release it from my heart It’s my devotion So, don’t you ever doubt No don’t you ever doubt I’ll cross an ocean with a notion I’ve got a little potion It’s my devotion Hearts and charts and alibis Your finger pressed in my eye I never stopped to realize I never thought to say goodbye Why o why o why o why You o you o you o you Why o why o why o why You o you o you o you Used harps and darts and a disguise Maybe even got me high Always whispered lullabies In ways that simply mystify Spy o spy o spy o spy True o true o true o true Spy o spy o spy o spy True o true o true o true

Gladys 03:57
So, Gladys, I fell into your madness The moment that you thought, you were everything I sought So, witness, I’m entering the quickness I think they call it love, or something from above But no, I’ve never known this feeling I think it’s got me reeling, so what have I become? Oh hope, I hope, I hope, I pray There’s an outpost in my brain, of something that is sane Place your bets and play your hand When it comes to love, I never understand Face make-up, on a football fan That was the life of Stan; I want to be your man But look out; I’ve got another book out This one’s about Miami, and the way you had me You had me in your grasp, a grasp that was so fast All tied up into knots, and a crazy train of thought I should have taken photos, as proof of your disorder But when I think about it, they should have been self-portraits Place your bets and play your hand When it comes to love, I never understand You said, you said, you said you loved me But you loved me way too much; I said that’s fabulous You thought, you thought that it was kind Kind of you to lie, I thought it was a crime But now, now that I’m in doubt I think I see your face, a face I know as hate Oh no, oh no, oh no my dear I want to make this clear; you never made me fear Place your bets and play your hand When it comes to love, I never understand Place your bets and play your hand When it comes to love, I never understand I never understand I never understand I never understand

I Can See 01:59
Everybody’s looking for the stars and the moon Everybody’s looking for their silver spoon Everybody’s looking for the birds and the bees Everybody’s looking for a song in the trees You can count them on your fingers and your toes You can count them by the songs that you wrote You can count them by slowly counting back You can count them with a knife in your back And I can see What its gonna do to you and me And I can see There’s a terror sound That needs to breath I can see I can see I can see I can see Everybody’s looking for a soft dark room Everybody’s looking to do it by the book Everybody’s looking to hatch a new plan Everybody’s looking for a star telegram You can count them on your fingers and your toes You can count them by counting up their woes You can count them by fives and by tens You can count them all until the bitter end And I can see What its gonna do to you and me And I can see There’s a terror sound That needs to breath I can see I can see I can see I can see

If I Buy One 02:34
I rode over your nightmare I rode over your everything I rode over horizons I rode just to begin If I buy one, I’m sure to buy two If I buy one, I’m sure to buy two If I buy one, I’m sure to buy two Start of destruction And hollow the heights What’s more is the function Cuz opposites light My god, take the option Pull the teeth wisdom Roll on to the function To the bleeding heart begin If I buy one, I’m sure to buy two If I buy one, I’m sure to buy two If I buy one, I’m sure to buy two My Instincts were sinister My baby called a minister My syntax was the cure Cuz jetlag fueled the hospital I rode over the valleys I rode over the coals I rode over the highways My elbows and knees were fine to go If I buy one, I’m sure to buy two If I buy one, I’m sure to buy two If I buy one, I’m sure to buy two My god the solution Now where do we go? Off to horizons Who ever will know? This future dawn I’ve never seen Attracted by the magazines Who’s to know and who’s to win Diabolical consequences Diabolical consequences Diabolical consequences Diabolical consequences You know it’s true You know it’s tragic So what did I do? I played with matches I mixed up the plastic And then made ashes I rolled over the highways And I played with matches If I buy one, I’m sure to buy two If I buy one, I’m sure to buy two If I buy one, I’m sure to buy two

The whole place is dark Every light on this side of the town Suddenly it all went down Now we’ll all be brothers of The fossil fire of the sun Now we’ll all be sisters of The fossil blood of the moon Someone must have set ‘em up Now they’ll be working in the cold grey rock Now they’ll be working in the hot mill stream Now they’ll be working in the concrete In the sirens and the silences now All the great set up hearts All at once they start to beat After tonight, if you don’t want this to be A secret out of the past I will resurrect it I’ll have a good go at it I’ll streak his blood across my beak I will try and you know whatever I try I will be gone, but not forever I will try and know whatever I try I will be gone, but not forever Real truth about it is No one gets it right Real truth about it is We’re all supposed to try There ain’t no end to the sands I’ve been trying to cross The real truth about it is My kind of life’s no better off It’s got the maps or if it’s lost We will try and know whatever we try We will be gone, but not forever Come on, let’s try and know whatever we try We will be gone, but not forever Real truth about it is There ain’t no end to the desert I cross I’ve really known it all along Mama, here comes midnight With a dead moon in its jaw Must be the big star about to fall Mama, here comes midnight With a dead moon in its jaw Must be the big star about to fall Mama, here comes midnight With a dead moon in its jaw Must be the big star about to fall Long dark blues Will-o-the-wisp Long dark blues The big star is falling Long dark blues Will-o-the-wisp The big star is falling Long dark blues Through the static and the distance Long dark blues A farewell transmission Long dark blues Listen Long dark blues Listen Long dark blues Listen Long dark blues Listen

about

You know this right? We've discussed this before. Well, okay, here's the deal. The Halcyon is a bird. A legendary bird from a Greek myth. You probably know it as a Kingfisher. They are all over the world in different sizes. They have a long beak and a lot of color. A damn fine bird really. Anyway, as the story goes, the Halcyon made a floating nest on the sea. This nest was powerful. So powerful, it could calm the seas.

Did we mention that it is a myth? Halcyons, well Kingfishers, they like dirt holes for their nests. That's the truth. It turns out you can't believe every story you hear and it has been that way for a long, long time.

So what does that have to do with the fifth release from The Halcyon Brothers? Well, Björ6n Oranj and Bosky Rumbluffer continue to adorn the worrisome burden in striking costumes of thrifty finds. As usual, there is a calming intention. As usual, the audacity is not interested in serenity. They end up with the blinking leaves from the message man. The truth of hearts as seen on charts because everyone has something to sell including Gladys. The selling is buying and if you buy one, you can see that it will all lead to a farewell transmission.

Everything good in life is really getting scarce. We might rise up if we care. We might fall apart. Those are the options. Floating nests or dirt holes.

about

The Halcyon Brothers Minneapolis, Minnesota

Halcyon is a poetic name for a Kingfisher. It is said that the floating nest of the Halcyon brings calm to the cruel sea. The Halcyon Brothers decorate the weight of the world in a charming and medicated disguise. The sound embraces with a clinched smile, and then stumbles and occasionally falls only to somehow prop itself back up for another round. ... more
